We've now reached Coulsdon - our last UK stop before we fly to Singapore. After our last log entry in Cambridge, we spent some time with Hanna's dad, who was in Cambridge for a couple of days, including a very tasty afternoon tea in the conservatory.

After a barbecue dinner on Friday evening with Hanna's mum and Nigel, we got a late train to London and made our way to Coulsdon. Arriving late in the evening, we had a short night's sleep and got up early to head to the Isle of Wight with my dad to visit Grandma.

We had a lovely weekend in Shanklin, with very good weather. During the day we did various jobs in the garden and then went out for a Shanklin pub crawl in the evening (Fisherman's Cottage, followed by Village Inn). We had a meal out, as we often do, at the Steamer on the waterfront on Sunday.

We've now just returned to the mainland and to Coulsdon, where we will spend the next few days with my parents, making last-minute preparations and seeing other family members, including the other grandma (Grandma Wallington, maternal, as opposed to Grandma Bristol, paternal, for those unfamiliar with the nomenclature).
